JUDGES CRITIQUE

The Northen Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Society CH.Show on the 3rd August 2008.
Judge Mrs S Allerton.

I would like to thank the exhibitors for accepting me so sportingly as the replacment judge. One or two things worried me, principaly the lack of good movement, a lot of dogs were going very close behind and toeing in front. Please don't leave good movement and conformation out of your breeding plans! The other point being, why bring dirty dogs to a beauty show? I had a very pleasureable day amongst some lovely dogs

1st Cinderlace Cromwell - very sound heavily marked Blen. masculine head, correct lenght of muzzle, good lay of shoulder.keeping level topline. Plenty of heart room, moving freely. To be critical of what is a really nice boy I would just prefer a little more length of upper arm which would make him look a little more balanced

2nd Biggs Korolevsky Faberge Kellorian - a very close descision between these two boys. Beautifully presented, looking a picture with his gleaming coat, but it is what is underneath which is the important factor - and he has it - from his lovely dark eyes to his good flowing movement, but he hasn't quite got the tail set of the 1st.
