CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW RESULTS

First may I express my gratitude to the Society for this appointment, and to the exhibitors for such a high quality entry. Virtually every class was filled with a high number of very good examples of the breed and my decisions were in many cases difficult and dependent on minute issues and of course my personal preferences.

I understand that some exhibitors may have wished to be judged under cover on such a hot day, but in my view cavalier coats, and the general condition of the dog is seen at its' best when viewed in sunlight. In any case my very able stewards and I were in the "frying pan" all day and the dogs were at all times given permission to be removed from the ring when I was examining the individual animal.

I was delighted with my final line up and would ahve been hard pressed to select just four and therefore I did take sometime both to consider my final choices but also to enjoy and review my selections from an excellent entry.

Veteran Dog

1st Koster's Harana Jazzie Jeff - Ruby in good coat and showed well moving spritely around. Good topline and a correct tail carriage. Soundly constructed this dog has a correct head form, round dark eyes high set ears giving a true cavalier expression. 2nd Bloomfield's Oak Lake One More Tri - Shown in very good condition this Tricolour moved well and displayed a happy temperament. Nicely made throughout.

Minor Puppy Dog

1st Hunter's Spennithorne Justin Thyme - Mature and well made blenheim very sound and happy. 2nd Claydon's Brymarden Montana - Very similar in make and shape to winner (by the same sire) a close decision the winner was a little more settled and showing more assurance in the final moments.

Puppy Dog

1st Costell's Beauella Radzinski - A very well made and stylish blenheim, easy winner of this class used the ring as if he owned it, moving with great drive and panache. Best Puppy Dog. 2nd Kerr's Kinvaar Obsession - Well marked tricolour in good coat, nice tan markings, soundly and correctly constructed moved well and showed his heart out.

Junior Dog

1st Hill & Webber's Montcolly Brian - Ruby in great coat for age and his good construction enabled him to float around the ring none stop showman. 2nd Lymer's Lymrey Hi Command - A very classy blenheim good construction and sound movement, showed well and this was a close decision.

Novice Dog

1st Willey & Siddle's Penemma Harry Potter - Blenheim puppy still has some way to go to maturity but is well made and when settled moved well. Good rich colour coat good for age. 2nd Moffat's Rytonian Princetown - Of similar type to winner rich coloured coat although not quite as good contidion as winner. Soundly made giving strong driving movement.

Graduate Dog

1st Rennards Deranmar Michael J.W. - Shown in excellent condition, a well broken coat of gleaming white background and rich blenheim markings. A well made short coupled dog, and moved with real drive. A very pleasing masculine head with large eyes giving a gentle true cavalier expression. 2nd Cole's Darozel De Montoya - Strikingly attractive tricolour well constructed and sound moving.

Post Graduate Dog

1st King-Smith's Ispahan Galileo J.W. - An almost perfectly marked blenheim shown in excellent condition a masculine yet gently expressive head. Large dark eyes, black nose, and full well set ears, reminded me of his father which makes judging both a pleasure and a challenge. This dog moved strongly and never stopped showing and was very close up in the challenge. 2nd Sheard & Price's Almondene Endeavour - A very nice type of similar markings to the winner, well made and moved strongly showing well for his handler very happy disposition,

Limit Dog

1st Bubb's Wandris Entertainer J.W. - This dog is my ideal. Fitting almost exactly me reading of the breed standard. Everything about him is just as I like, and have tried to breed for myself. From his classic head and gorgeous expression to his perfectly carried tail, moved with style and an elegance of movement borne of an obvious sence of her I am beat that. Today a select few dogs came close, but not close enough. C.C. and with ready agreement of my co judge BEST OF BREED. 2nd Gow's Lyncraeg Daydream - Blenheim of good type and very sound construction good moving and showed real well, but a little short of coat length and finish.

Special Open Black & Tan Dog

1st Koster's Ch. Harana Starman - A very good type and excellent showman, well made throughtout and shown in great coat condition hard to maintain in this colour. 2nd Armitt's Brasingamen Black as Jet - Of a similar make and shape to the winner and agin in full coat of good condition not quite the style and swagger of the winner.

Special Open Ruby Dog

1st Hughes' Loranka's Star Stealer - Very well presented showman, never stopped showing and moved really well. In ful coat, and has a pleasing head good round dark eyes and black nose, and correct construction throughout. 2nd Thompson's Ailcres Sandman - A well constructed dog shown in good condition and coat of correct colour. Good pigmentation, nice round eye, pleasing expression - close up to winner.

Special Open Blenheim Dog

1st Sheard & Price's Almondene Endeavour (2nd in Graduate) 2nd Li's Avalcier Atomic Blaze - A full coated dog of good type, pleasing head and expression good construction and moved and showed well.

Special Open Tricolour Dog

1st Bigg's Kellorian Poetry in Motion - Very neat dog shown in good coat and condition correct tan. Good head, nice sized eyes and excellent ear furnishings. Moved well. 2nd Thomas's Charlottown Toby Thomas - Slightly larger type than winner but a well constructed dog. Strong driving movement.

Breeders Dog

1st Angell's Champion Charwelton Valentine - Blenheim dog of the highest quality pure breed type. I judged this dog 3 years ago when he was a raw baby and I have been pleased to see his development into a fine top quality champion of similar make and shape to my ideal any my best dog of today - winning today in a very strong class on style and movement. R.C.C. 2nd Levy & Sedgwick's Champion Pascavale Enchanted - Blenheim - this is another of my favorite dogs and father of my C.C. winner. I have not had the pleasure of judging or going over this dog before and I was not disappointed, his wealtch of coat, straight and silky soft hides a compact but strong body with everything just as it should be. There is not much between this dog and the winner and I agonised long over this placing - on another day perhaps a little cooler I could turn them around but the anticipation of the winner tilted the balance in his favour.

Open Dog

1st Lymer & Scheidt's Lymrey Hi Command - A very type blenheim shown in excellent condition and good coat. Very pleasing head, and framed by long ears looking a picture and moving effortlessly around the ring again close to the top winners in my final line up. 2nd Hughes' Loranka's Jubilation - Blenheim another good type close up to winner excellent construction but not in his best clothes today.
