Best Puppy Dog Aldous/Smith Aranel Mackenzie
A lovely day
and plenty of applause for the winners, and nice to see a fair amount of people
there at the end to cheer them on. Best in show was the dog Almonroyd Minstrel,
best bitch was Ch Harana Kiki Dee, best puppy was Lochbuie Eyecon and best veteran
was Dortmund Delyla Harana.
After judging both sexes in our breed this year I believe the bitches to be
superior to the dogs, for too long not enough importance has been placed on
movement and construction, we have become accustomed to seeing bad top lines
and tail sets and the bad hind movement that often goes hand in glove with the
problem, if as an exhibitor you are not sure how your dog moves get someone
else to move it for you and take note of what you see, movement isn’t
everything but it is important.
