The Northern Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Society Open Show Sunday 28 January 2018.

Thank you to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge the show and also a big thankyou to the exhibiters for the sporting way my decisions were received, it was a well-run show with a nice atmosphere thank you to my efficient stewards and well done to the kitchen for their superb food.

Class 1 Veteran Dog, (0) entries

Class 2 Vintage Dog,1, Walkers Korolevesky Iosif SHCM, Blenheim 10 years old nice head and expression nice dark eyes in good body and condition nice clean teeth and a super soft silky coat moved around the ring well.

Class 3 Minor Puppy Dog, 1 Cranes Cranvarl Washington, Blenheim eye-catching when entering the ring has a great attitude with a sweet expression and a nice dark eye well marked, he is a nice size has a good body and coat moved okay with plenty of puppy get up and go. Best puppy dog and best puppy in show.
2, Mr and Mrs Slacks Kinavarrk Jumping Jack Flash at Eversbabes, Blenheim six months raw baby but full of himself happy and with a super temperament, nice head good dark eye coming in to good coat moved out and enjoyed his time in the ring.
3 E&P Rogerson’s Raymar Crimson Moon.

Class 4 Puppy Dog (1) absent.

Class 5 Junior Dog 1, Mrs A Bayliss Castlewytch Red Admiral, Blenheim super head and dark expressive eyes nice neck and shoulders made a lovely shape when standing and on the move in good condition and had a happy temperament a joy to go over on the table.
2,Mr & Mrs Hindle`s Spindlepoint Donavan With Ellisiana, Blenheim a little larger than the winner has a nice head and eye good firm body and a silky coat that was well presented on the day just needs to settle on the move.
3 Mrs T Potters Toyswood Moonage Daydream.

Class 6 Maiden Dog. 1, Mr and Mrs Slacks Kinavarrk Jumping Jack Flash at Eversbabes,

Class 7 Novice Dog, Mrs A Prices Ouzelwells Likley Lad For Almonroyd, Blenheim 18mths nice well made dog great to go over good head And melting expression nice dark eyes good body well covered but not fat in other words in good condition moved well in profile and carried himself well.
2, Mr & Mrs Hindle`s Spindlepoint Donavan With Ellisiana,

Class 8, Graduate Dog, 1 Mrs K Kynastons Gransil Von Trap JW B&T nice head framed with nice well feathered ears dark eyes, nice mouth with clean teeth in good condition well bodied moved around the ring well and looked particly well in profile, a happy smart dog that was always happy in the ring.
2,Mr & Mrs Lee`s Kelrick Flapjack JW Tri another nice quality dog nice to go over on the table nice rich colour well balanced head good dark eye well covered body but a good spring of rib could still be felt, plenty of well-presented coat of the correct texture moved well looked nice in profile.

Class 9 Post Graduate Blen or Tri,
1 Bell`s Chistabella Picasso SHCM, Blenheim 3 years old good head and eye nice well feathered ears plenty of fringing good body would prefer him to be a little more compact moved well and was attentive to owner /handler.
2 Mr & Mrs Slack`s Willowheart louis Blenheim, pleasant head and eye, well behaved on the table, not as much body and substance as the class winner nice soft silky coat moved around the ring well but I felt the class winner tried that little bit extra.

Class 10 Post Graduate B&T or Ruby,
1 Mrs Kynaston`s Granasil Golden Nugget, Ruby good deep colour, nice well balanced head and expressive eyes nice firm body well-muscled but not too heavy a pleasant dog when going over him on the table ,free moving around the ring and looked best in profile
2 S & E Loynd`s Crimbledale Genesis, Black and Tan another nice dog to go over on the table as with most black and tans closer inspection is required to see their expression as it can be lost on the floor he has a nice expression and good dark eyes plenty of feathering on his ears a good body that is nice and firm a coat with plenty of gloss to it and made the best of himself on the move.

Class 11 Limit Dog.
1 Mrs Drewitt`s Brymarden Honeycomb At Judyland JW, Blenheim very eyecatching dog stood out as he entered the ring did not disappoint when going over on the table nice shape in profile, good head and sweet expression beautiful dark eyes nice mouth with clean teeth, lonerly coat well presented with a nice soft silky texture moved well and made a nice picture when standing.
2 D R & J Crossley`s Tameline Dawn Approach, Blenheim another dog with a nice shape and outline pleasant head and nice expression nice shaped dark eyes, dark nose and well feathered ears, moved around the ring well and responded well to owner/handler.

Class 12 Open Dog,
1, Messrs Rix and Berry`s Ricksbury Poldark JW Blenheim 20 months old outstanding example of the breed caught my eye as he entered the ring with his presence and sheer showmanship super head and expression well framed with well feathered ears ,nice to go over on the table everything is in the right place with nothing exaggerated, nice mouth, lovely black nose super well-presented coat of the right texture on a joy to watch on the move a beautiful young dog with a bright future ahead one hopes, best dog and reserve BIS.
2, Mr RA & Mrs E Waddington`s Spindlpoint President JW Blenheim another nice shaped dog good size with many breed qualities, super head and expression, nice dark eyes well placed ears with plenty of feathering, good neck and shoulders, nice body and well-toned moved around the ring well in all directions showing a nice outline and shape made a good picture in the line-up reserve best dog.

Class 13 Veteran Bitch.
1, Mrs M Scott`s Lorphil Lalibertie, Blenheim 8 years old and in great condition with a sweet head and expression, a nice size and good shape, quality coat well presented, moved and showed well and responded to owner thoroughly enjoyed her day out.

Class 15 Minor Puppy Bitch. Lovely class with a number of very pretty young ladies.
1,Mrs L Crane`s Cranvarl Virginia Blenheim very smart puppy in a quality class she won on overall shape and style with the sweetest of heads and very nice expression nice shape and size, good to go over on the table, nice coat for age moved well around the ring and was full of attitude. Best puppy bitch.
2, Mrs M Constable Mitapip One and Only, Blenheim similar to the class winner ,full of great personality pretty head and nice expression, nice dark eyes, well behaved on the table handled well moved out well just needs to settle but makes a nice picture in profile.
3,Mr and Mrs Waddington`s Cranvarl Georgia Spindlepoint.

Class 16 Puppy Bitch.
1, Mrs Bell`s Chistabella Only You, Tri very glamorous young lady catches your eye when entering the ring, sweetest of heads with nice dark eyes a good mouth good coat at this age in good condition and well-presented with lots of attitude and make a nice picture when standing.
2, Mr and Mrs Fox-Shone Pamedna Eternity Blenheim no notes as left the ring.
3,D R and J Crossley`s Carolus Miss Elizabeth.

Class 17 Junior Bitch.
1, L Callaghan and L Todd`s Ellemich Parisenne at Callspride JW, Blenheim, Sweet head and expression,nice dark eyes which are framed by nicely feathered ears, nice to go over on the table she is a nice size and shape in good coat and has a nice firm body moved well around the ring and looked nice when standing.
2, Mrs T Potter`s Toyswood See Emily Play, Black and Tan sweet head and expression nice shape and size good topline moved okay but was not at her best as she had a little tummy accident.
3, Mrs R Mochrie`s Downsbank Rose Coral.

Class 18 Maiden Bitch.
1,Mrs L M Drewett`s Judyland Magical Daisy, Very pretty Tri lovely feminine head and sweet expression, beautiful dark eyes on the table she has a nice firm body and a pleasing shape her coat is soft and silky, on the move she keeps her top line at all time and is very attentive to owner/handler.
2, Mr R and Mrs K Lee`s Calonlan Love Actually for Kelric, placed 4 th in minor puppy class she has a nice clean open face kept her shape on the move and looked nice in profile, the winner was more mature and had coat and furnishings on her side.

Class 19 Novice Bitch.
1, L Callaghan and L Todd`s Callyspride Little Minx, Blenheim 15 months was nice to go over on the table she has a good head and nice dark eyes and is in good condition nice and firm but not fat, her coat was nice and clean ,soft and silky and on the move she is happy and animated and was ver attentive to owner/handler.
2, C Bell`s Chistabella Only You,( puppy winner).

Class 20 Graduate Bitch.
1, L Fox`s Lewharle Izzadorable for Lynmily, Blenheim very pretty with the sweetest of heads lovely expression nice to go over great shape and nice size shown in good condition moved around the ring with ease very happy temperament and stood well and had a pleasing outline.
2, L Byrne`s Chantismerre Chanson D`Amour, Blenheim close decision on this class as both of these ladies have a lot of similar qualities ,Again a very nice head and expression, melting eyes good shape and size shown in nice coat of correct texture and good condition moved well around the ring and handled well
3, G Ward`s Beauco Dolly Mixture.

Class 21 Post Graduate Bitch Blen or Tri.
1, A M Price`s Almondroyd Dreams and Wishes, Blenheim lovely bitch eye-catching when moving around the ring, didn’t disappoint on the table as with a closer inspection she has a beautiful head and eye, a good mouth and a nice overall shape she is a nice size and is in good condition her coat is soft and silky and in good condition she moved well and was very attentive to her owner/handler.
2, Mrs M Scott`s Toscam Mckayla this 5 year old Tri was full of quality she has a very nice head and a melting expression framed by well feathered ears a good neck and firm shoulders plenty of quality coat that was well presented and on the move she was keeping a nice shape and stood well and made a nice picture.
3, C Bell`s Chistabella Paloma.

Class 22 Post Graduate Bitch B/T or Ruby.
1, S and E Loynd`s Crimbledale Betty Boo, this nice Black and tan stood alone but she was very nice to go over on the table she has nice dark eyes a good mouth, a nice shape and size ,good body, her coat is a deep colour with rich tan markings nice and soft and in lovely condition with a nice shine to it , she moved well around the ring and presented a good overall profile.

Class 23 Limit Bitch.
1, Mr and Mrs Claydon`s Brymarden Honeybun Blenheim this very nice bitch is a joy to go over on the table as she is so well made on closer inspection her head is well balanced and she has a super expression nice dark eyes and a good mouth a good body and a well presented coat she moves around the ring with ease and makes a nice picture when standing.
2,Mrs T Potter`s Toyswood Blackstar this black and tan has some lovely breed points a nice head and expression nice dark eyes which are framed by well feathered ears a super coat with good colour especially her rich tan markings she was in exclent condition with a good body and was a joy to watch on the move .

Class 24. Open Bitch.
1, Mr and Mrs Claydon`s Ellemich Infusion Blenheim this super girl really caught my eye in this class of very nice repesentives of this breed on the table you can really appreciate her breed type such a sweet expression an lovely dark eyes with a melting expression, a good mouth with nice clean teeth, super well feathered ears a nice firm shoulder and a good body all in all in great condition ,on the move she has an air of grace and dignity and responds to her handler at all times, Best bitch and best in show.
2,Rix and Berry`s Rixsbury Royal Tapestry, as I said a class of very nice quality bitches this Blenheim pushed very hard in this class similar to the winner in many ways she has a classic head and expression nice eyes and a good mouth is a joy to go over in super condition nice size and shape ,moved with style and made a nice picture when standing reserve best bitch.
3, Mrs A Bayliss`s Castlewytch Touch of Class JW.

Class 25 Brace was won by Mr and Mrs Slack`s brace.
