Special Award Classes
I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge these classes and for the unstinting hospitality that was extended to me on the day. The judging proved to be both enjoyable and challenging in that I could not help but notice the number of exhibits that moved rather close behind and in one class, particularly, the number of over emphasised heads.
Puppy ( 5.1)
1.Sidgwick's Salegreen Peony for Paulian
11 mth blen b. Immediately caught the eye with her presentation and attitude.
Well broken colours on a generous coat. Level skull with large dark eyes set
above well cushioned cheeks. Sparkling expression full of attention. Good arch
of neck leading to firm topline, ample ribcage, well placed tail and bold turn
of stifle. Moved absolutely soundly, with elan. A very promising puppy.
2.Potter's Toyswood Blackstar
11 mth b/t b. Well constructed head shown off to good effect with dark eyes
and clear tan markings giving a pleasing soft expression. Well proportioned
body with good bone. Moved soundly. Overall an impressive exhibit but just that
little longer in body than 1.
3.Kynaston's Granasil Von Trap
Graduate ( 8.2)
1.Claydon's Brymarden Honeybun
18 mth blen b. who absolutely matched up to her name. Immaculately presented
with her dark eyes and good pigment being a complete contrast to the whiteness
in her coat. Well marked coat. Lovely sweet head with appealing expression.
Well sprung rib cage and sound construction overall. Wonderfully clear movement
front and, contrary to so many others, to the rear. A real beauty.
2. Whitfield's Arister Pink
Topaz for Bevelmount
17 mth Ruby b. Outstandingly flat head over expressively large, dark eyes curtained
by very impressive length of ear fringes. Dark pigmentation. Well made with
good body shape and bone. Coat on the turn so not quite the picture she will
become. Moved well but just out matched and out marched by 1.
